And no I can't go into dealers and try them on, the local shops only have HJC's.
Any other helmets out there worth looking at?
I am on a budget so nothing expensive. I have no brand loyalty just looking for the best product in comparison to it's relative value
Any help would be appreciated

I've been using the Fly F2 Carbon for about a year now and it's hands down been my favorite helmet I've ever owned. It's a carbon fiber and kevlar composite shell that meets SNELL and ECE requirements, which if you don't know, means it's pretty frickin good because the Euro's require higher helmet standards than DOT. Those run you about $260-$280 which is an absolutely killer price for a helmet like that.
If I remember correctly, the Scott 350 is a polycarbonate shell (Google polycarbonate if anyone doesn't know what it is, it's a type of polymer but I can't explain it well because I don't know enough about it) and I'm sure it probably meets the same standards as well. If I was going with a Scott helmet, I'd go for the 350 personally.

I appreciate it. I am trying to get all my ducks in a row for when my bike finally arrives.
I have one of the new Scott 350 helmets and really like it. I think it might be a tad bit heavier than the Fly F2 Carbon (I also have the exact same Fly helmet as Bolt-on). Comfort wise they're definitely in the same ballpark. The biggest difference to me is the Fly's chin bar comes a bit closer to the face than the Scott helmet, but no so much that I've ever had a problem getting to my camelback.

but both are looking good to me right now.
I'm assuming since you're considering buying a Scott helmet that you wear Scott goggles. That's probably the biggest benefit with wearing that helmet--the goggles fit exceptionally well inside the helmet. I've only worn the Hustle goggles with mine, but it's clear they designed the helmet to work with their goggles so there's no weird fit issues there.

I do run the Scott Voltage and 89Xi goggles with roll offs for racing. I run Pro Grips as well for racing and riding. I found that the Pro Grips are the best non-fogging goggle out there. They just work great, I just wish they had better outlets for purchase of goggles and goodies.

Thanks, I will give the TLD a good look as well.
I am coming from a bell moto 8 that has seen better days.

I've never had any TLD stuff, but I was definitely feeling the Steve McQueen lid and gear that Thad was running at Sumter...
